3 Hour Surf Lesson.
West Coast surf has been established at Tauranga bay on the beautiful West Coast of the South Island for the past 18 years.
This beach provides both first timers with a safe and invigorating environment to learn in, as well as providing some world class waves for the more experienced surfers.
Mark Perana is the owner and coach of the business. Mark has been coaching surfing and snowboarding for beyond 25 years and it is truly his passion. Mark is an ISA/SNZ level 2 coach and judge and a NZSBA snowboard examiner, also a past NZ team coach and National title holder.
At West Coast Surf we offer a safe, fun filled, informative and often invigorating lesson for every level of surfer. Whether you are a complete beginner, all ready surfing and want to improve, or need some guidance with your advanced manoeuvres, Mark can help you out.

Best surf!!
So worth the money!! Mark is a real legend and so good! He showed us everything first and then we went in the water. He encouraged us to try even bigger waves, even though we are beginners. Then he tought us how to succeed better text time a bigger wave came. We were totally exhausted after 3 hours! And the beach is great and the waves really fun. And Mark is really good so no matter if you're a beginner or a pro - he will help you get even better!!

Awesome
Really enjoyed our 3 hour surf lesson with Jose (Portuguese surf instructor) - I believe it was his last day at the job though! He really helped me with my technique! Mike was awesome and really helpful too.
