Kaikoura - Whale Watching flight - Wings Over Whales
Wings over Whales is a unique scenic flight from Kaikoura to view the Magnificent Sperm Whales feeding off the Spectacular Kaikoura Coast of New Zealand.
The flights operate from Kaikoura Airport which is a short distance away from the Whale feeding area in the Kaikoura Canyon. The craggy coastline and towering Mountain range all add to the spectacle.
On most flights Sperm Whales, Dolphins and Seals can be spotted from the flight which is only 150 metres above the sea. No guarantees are possible but Wings over Whales has a sighting record of 98%. If possible we will offer a repeat flight if unsuccessful.
The flights are operating every day except Christmas Day from 9:00am till 16:30.
Our aircraft allow every passenger to have a window seat that is situated below the wing. A world class scenic flight.
Note: If booking as a single, the operator does in rare occasions reserve the right to shift the passenger to a alternative take off time.
