Take a spectacular 40 minute jet boat ride through the heart of one of New Zealand's most historic gold mining regions in a specifically designed Goldfields Jet boat.
Enjoy a thrilling ride with extensive commentary on the rich gold history of the area as well as other points of interest.
The trip departs from the Goldfields Mining Centre and heads south down-river into the shallow braided waters of the Bannockburn arm before turning up river heading into the spectacular Kawarau Gorge. With the river narrowing, rapids begin to form and before long you arrive at the foot of the impassable Staircase Rapids where you begin your return journey back down river to the Goldfields Mining Centre, finishing with our unique 360-degree spin.

The Goldfields Mining Centre and Gold Fields Jet are located on State Highway 6 in the Kawarau Gorge between Queenstown and Cromwell. Just 30 minutes from Queenstown, it is an easy day trip or the perfect adventure interlude when traveling to or from Queenstown.
