Queenstown Ice Arena
Tucked away in the heart of the idyllic Queenstown Gardens, the Queenstown Ice Arena is a top regional facility enjoyed by visitors and locals alike. Not your average public skating sessions, skaters can take a ride on an ice sled, gear up and shoot around in the hockey area, or pick up some pointers on learning new twists and tricks and even nailing some figure skating moves!
The alpine-inspired café and lounge at the Ice Arena offer a warm haven to escape cold Queenstown winter days. Refuel with the offerings of the full menu, warm up with a coffee or hot chocolate, or cool down after a game of hockey with a fresh fruit smoothie. Hang out on the cosy leather couches and check out what's playing on the big screen TV during skating breaks!
As an added bonus, one of Queenstown's top cheap activities, the Queenstown Gardens Frisbee Golf course, is right on our front lawn. Keeping in the spirit of affordable local activities, Frisbee rental is $5 for any skater that purchases a day pass at the Ice Arena!

Hours: We are open for public skating Monday- Sunday 10am-5pm, as well as Friday & Saturday evenings 5:30pm - 9:30pm.

How to Get There: From Lake Esplanade it's just a 2 minute walk through the gardens, up the knoll and across the pond!
