Segway on Q - Bay Ride - 1 hour
Learn to ride the amazing Segway personal transporter with an express trip around Queenstown Bay before some free time to cruise and enjoy the scenic Queenstown Gardens while you play with your Segway.
How does it work?
The Segway uses a patented technology known as Dynamic Stabilisation to maintain it's own balance while moving forwards, backwards, or turning. This is achieved by a series of gyroscopes and microprocessors that work together driving two electronic motors that constantly work to balance the rider. You will be amazed how quickly the Segway becomes an extension of your own body, as you naturally feel confident with it's movement and control.
How fast does it go?
On the open speed setting the Segway achieves a sprinting pace of up to 20km/ph depending on terrain and rider weight. Of course speed control settings ensure you have the chance to get the hang of things before deciding to push the limits.
