Your journey will begin with a scenic and informative transfer to the quaint village of Arrowtown which is steeped in rich gold-mining history.
Our local, knowledgeable team will fit you to your bikes and provide an entertainment briefing of your adventure ahead. Enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafes or get straight on your bike and get ready to take to the picturesque Arrow River Trail. You'll see the mighty Kawarau River and cross over the historic suspension bridge - now home to the Bungy, on the original Miners Trail.
From here you can ride the scenic Gibbston River Trail and visit the many award-winning wineries, a cheese deli, gin room and tavern that are linked through this easy riding trail. All trails are purpose-built, easy to moderate grade and off-road, with only direct road crossing between wineries.
Relax knowing that you only have to bike in one direction (no biking back to Arrowtown in a head wind!) and your return transport to Queenstown is taken care of. We'll even collect any wine purchases for you.

Was very professionally organised & fun day though the bike trail does take a little skill on gravel &narrow in parts - beautiful scenery & wine

Best way to see the Gibbston vineyards
Well organised. Checked in a few days beforehand, and had some recommended vineyards which we booked ahead for tastings. Given that our tour was on a Monday it probably wasn’t necessary, but kept us on track and seemed appreciated by the staff we talked to and we got to 5 vineyards. E-bike definitely made the difference, and was a lot easier compared to when we did this on normal bikes 6 years ago. Was good that the Guides emphasised being on time, and we left Queenstown promptly at 9.30am, and Gibbston Tavern at 4.30pm. The initial briefing with the bikes could have been a bit shorter without the showmanship, but otherwise was comfortable minibuses, well equipped bikes, nice bike trail from Arrowtown which took about 75 minutes (but we didn’t stop to watch the bungy jumpers), and friendly staff at all of the vineyards, especially The Church vineyard which wasn’t on the map, and fantastic service from Benos at Kinross where we had lunch. Well worth it.

Lovely day but ...
We were not aware that the 9am was a strict pick up time to be dropped out to the start of the track . As we had just come off a hiking track we were late to get there and missed the bus the lovely girls rebooked us on the 10.30 pick up which was great but no one ever stated this and we also checked in Qtown days before the booking to check it was booked and that person did not state it was a strict pick up time . We thought we could just wander in and start it from Qtown . Once we were on the bikes it was a beautiful day.

As the product you booked involved a shuttle to Arrowtown we do always have scheduled departure times for this. Fantastic way to see the wineries
The bikes were easy to operate and the trials were well marked. Scenery was stunning and we managed to stop at around 6 wineries with plenty of time. Would highly recommend.

Great Day
We thoroughly enjoyed our day biking and stopping in at the various wineries. Will do again:)
