don't go on a cold day

Had high expectations and due to the cold weather most of the animals were hiding or sleeping, the staff could have been friendlier too. Otherwise was a nice day out

Giraffe Encounter!

The giraffe feeding was really fun, and we got really close to the giraffes! The guides there were also nice and taught us how to get a good photo with the giraffe. The rest of the wildlife park was cool as well

Wonderful Service

We went to Orana Park with our two 15year old Boys and had a great time together. Normally our Teenage Boys preferr to do their own thing but on this occassion we had a wonderful family experience. We spent alot more time at Orana Park than we thought we would and found there was plenty of animals to interact with. A wonderful day had by all. Thank you

Rainy day rhinos

Managed to book on a very wet day but went along so as not to waste the voucher. First visit to Orana. Enjoyed it much more than Willowbank, where some of the bird exhibits (in particular the red-crowned parakeets) seem crowded. Anyway, a good range of exhibits, a nice size venue for stretching your legs. Highlight was seeing the rhinos romping in the mud after weeks of fine weather. Would recommend especially for families.

orana wlidlife park

Very interesting day, the volunteer staff are amazing. The feeding programe allows participation for all. The lion feeding from a metal cage that is driven into their pen is incredible. They have recently had a giraffe born to the Wildlife park, who shy at first can be coaxed to feed from humans

Average

We have 2 young children 2.5 and 1. We got around half of the park. It was a bit disappointing as a lot of the enclosures were empty. Of course it cant be helped as animals do what they do. We would definitely return, but when the kids are quite a bit older. The kids packs from the cafe were awesome and a big hit with the kids. Lots of healthy snacks that the kids loved!

Orana Park - Christchurch

Awesome day out. Lots of space and activities to keep the kids busy (and adults too!). Feeding the giraffes was an incredible experience aswell.
