River surfing was a great experience. I was quite scared when we started, hitting the first lot of rapids was a shock and I freaked out a little so the group took a short break but then I was right back in there with a fair bit of help from the leading guide. The rapids were a grade 3 that we went on. Got to jump of a rock. The guides were amazing and very friendly and we came out with some very funny photos. Would recommend this to everyone who loves adventure and watersports. Not for the faint hearted. A great day was had by all even though it was a very cold day. Thanks Guys xx

This is not a theme park ride! For reasonably fit people who like the water, it's an exhilarating half-day out. Don't worry, between the 5mm wetsuit & all the legwork you'll do, you'll be toasty warm. The guides are exceptional people- giving clear instructions in white water situations & keeping you safe whilst letting you have an absolute blast! I never thought I'd say even the bus ride was fun! But the guides made it so. We had 2 runs down the Roaring Meg section of the Kawarau! Serious FUN!
