Not your average garden variety swing, the Taupo Cliff Hanger is extreme swinging for thrill seekers, adrenaline junkies and big kids alike!
Swing solo or with a friend, drop feet first sitting up, or fly in an arc upside down. Count down to take off, or get the surprise option - dropping at random into an exhilarating adrenaline rush!
Once the cord is pulled you'll find yourself in instant freefall, hurtling towards the glistening waters below arcing outwards into a near 180° curve, reaching speeds of up to 70kpmh in a mind blowing adrenaline rush.
As the swing slows the g-forces and adrenaline levels ease and you take in the stunning beauty that surrounds you as you float free over the spectacular Waikato River Valley below.

Opening hours are 9am - 5pm, year round*
*During summer we can extend our opening hours to 7pm if we have people still jumping or swinging, and if bookings prevail. Otherwise, we can close anytime after 5pm, so please ensure you are on site before this time, so you don't miss out!
Restrictions:
Minimum age 10 years (under 16's also require parental consent)
Minimum weight 30kg. Maximum weight 180kgs, (applies to solo and tandem swings)
Prior to registration, it is important that you advise staff if you have any medical conditions that may make your swing less safe or enjoyable. These include previous dislocations, asthma, pregnancy, back or head injury, as well as epilepsy. It is most likely you will still be able to swing, (depending on the injury or condition) but staff must be informed.
