Raft the legendary "Earthquake Rapids" - a classic New Zealand whitewater raft run though a stunning rain forest.

Judged TOP CHOICE Lonely Planet, 2012

Join us on a wild ride down the legendary Buller River Earthquake Rapids, the section with the most whitewater in the breath taking Buller Gorge.

Adventurers will experience plenty of white water action. Challenge yourself at the "swim" rapid and the optional 8 metre cliff jump.

First Rafting Trip? - No worries!! Your guides will give you full rafting safety instruction. Marty and Bruce are committed to making your river trip not only safe, but the best you'll experience.

Because the Buller River is a large volume wild river with no dams to regulate the flow, the rapid Grade 3 to 4 varies with rainfall. Ask us about the river flow when you book.

Great morning on the river

We enjoyed our journey on the river very much and were very pleased that they decided to run a raft with just the 2 of us. Our guide (Andrea) was very thorough and explained the safety procedures. She also provided a lot of local information as well. All the equipment necessary was provided and was of good quality We enjoyed the rapids and floating in the river to cool off. Rafting Fun

Great rafting experience today with James and Rita who looked after us on and off the raft. Marty the owner was also extremely accommodating as we missed our original booking he slotted us in the day after. The river was not too challenging but fun nonetheless. The scenery is as pretty as you can expect in NZ and the light rain and mist felt we were fighting the elements and actually added to the experience! Would recommend it to anyone after some white water fun.
