Beautiful cooked and presented meal, friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
From start to finish, this dining experience had it all....warm welcome, relaxing environment, attentive service and excellent food. As we are local residents in Canterbury, we would certainly use this restaurant again on a visit into Christchurch. Highly recommended! Also may give this a mention on my locally owned website of 18k members!
We had visitors and wanted to take them somewhere special, so this is it. Always greeted well. The new menu has great choices, we love the garlic bread. The gurnard was excellent as was the beef cheek. Lovely setting as well.

Quality restaurant - excellent for GF options
Setting is industrial glamour with exposed architectural structure, glass & high ceiling space/voids with quality dressing/finishings. Service is first-class. Menu & wine selection options better than standard - I found it hard to decide between the fish, duck & beef -every main sounds delicious though the only chicken dish is a starter. After sharing the calamari & chicken to start, (both GF!) I settled on Gurnard as fish of day with seasonal vegetables (perfection) & dining friend tried slow-cooked beef cheeks (a little on blander side, definitely needed salt). Given 5 stars still because it doesn't warrant 4 - better than that. We noted how the tables for 2 in window are away from the group area - cosy booth seats on the other side of bar, which is great if things get noisy. Convenient if your in city already, located right next to the art gallery.
