Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and discover the idyllic beauty of the Marlborough Sound’s stunning Lochmara Lodge.
This breathtaking destination truly has it all! Lochmara boasts stunning walking tracks among native New Zealand Flora & Fauna, an art gallery, café, accommodation and is a haven for wildlife!
We begin your outing with a relaxing cruise from Picton across the calm clear waters of the Queen Charlotte Sound. Keep your eyes peeled for marine life and sea birds – we often spot Dolphins and little blue penguins en route!
Once you've arrived at Lochmara, you’ll be free to spend your time around the property as you please!
There is plenty to do including native bush trails with interpretation panels on the native flora and fauna, an arts shop, free use of kayaks & Stand-up paddleboards, a safe swimming beach, and a café overlooking the water for the perfect place for a drink and bite to eat. There is even a 3.5kms track to the Queen Charlotte Track.
You will also have the opportunity to see the native Kakariki Parakeets, Eels, Kunekune Pigs and Stingrays being fed!
A fantastic day escape and a brilliant way to see this amazing location at your own pace.
