The second exhibition, Dangerous Skies, features stories from World War II, with tales of daring, valour and tragedy stretching from the British Isles to the forests of Germany, an embattled but courageous Russia and the Pacific Islands. One of the star attractions is a Griffon powered Mk.XIVe Spitfire.

The exhibition features stories of female pilots and the Battle of Stalingrad is an immersive experience that is both entertaining and chillingly thought provoking.

Brilliant displays

Great exhibition of WW1 and WW2 aircraft. Reading all the online publicity I was of the understanding there were set times to see the exhibits guided and so rushing to meet the times set down arrived to find this was not the case. The hangar is cold so dress warmly.

Not just for blokes

I booked this for my husband as he's really into planes. I was delighted by how much I loved these museums.. The displays were outstanding. The knowledgeable and passionate staff were happy to tell stories and offer more information. Fantastic spent a good few hours enjoying.

Fabulous, but reflective

An incredible look into the past at both World War 1 and separately World War 2. The planes, the uniforms and some of the scenes put together by Weta Workshops, AMAZING!
