The second exhibition, Dangerous Skies, features stories from World War II, with tales of daring, valour and tragedy stretching from the British Isles to the forests of Germany, an embattled but courageous Russia and the Pacific Islands. My second visit (the first was 7 years ago and the WW2 exhibit didn't exist then) I love the dioramas with the aircraft (both those by Weta workshop (ww1) and the on site team (WW2) as they really help tell the story, both of the aircraft and the people flying them. Lots of interesting information too.
Second visit first one, third for another and first for some and it never gets boring. Dangerous skies a must do add on. The 8 minute experience at the end was a real and chilling reminder of the losses faced.
We spent 4 hours and that was'nt dawdling!. Such an assortment of info and paraphernalia and planes. Boggling.Well worth it. Take time. Was a little too dark to be able to read all the spiel..that needs to be addressed asap.
Walking in I assumed I was just going to look at a few parked up airplanes. However wrong was I, totally blown away as soon as you step inside the exhibit. The dioramas were amazing and brought everything to life. This is a must do experience even if you’re not into planes.
