Round up the family and gear up for a day of fun and discovery at Natureland Wildlife.
Get up close and personal with a mix of exotic and native wildlife such as Tuatara and Kea, and learn all about their unique lives. The kids will love hanging with the monkeys and getting hands on with a range of interesting domestic animals.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn about the ecosystems in the Nelson-Tasman region and the conservation efforts being made by local people and groups.
With an emphasis on conservation and preserving endangered species, you'll take part in supporting the vision of this community based charitable trust with each visit - providing a one of a kind experience for all!

Great day
I was the first time visiting Natureland for me and my toddler. We had a great time, spending over 3 hours there looking around at the animals and playing. The staff we interacted with were kind and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Nelson must do
Must do in Nelson located near the beach so you can spend a good amount of time walking on a nice day. They have all sorts of animals. A huge lizard got my attention the most. I went by myself. It could use a upgrade with a cafe or a local caravan stand providing hot drinks outside would be cool. Something the council should allow. A must do in Nelson

Great winter activity
Lovely couple of hours with my grandson and family. At nearly 2 he enjoyed the birds and feeding the goats the most. I enjoyed the tuataras and the meercats, and the porcupine! It's over twenty years since we have been and there have been a lot of changes. Great outing.

Great family outing
Such a lovely family outing, really friendly staff and the animals are lots of fun, especially the goats that you can feed. The Lemurs are our fav!!
