Torea Bay to Punga Cove

Excellent one day hiking trip. Bring your sunscreen and walking legs because it can be a long, hot journey 😊

A really nice walk

I enjoyed the walk so much. I walked by myself and I didn’t meet a lot of other people. You can enjoy the time by yourself and the amazing quiet time. Sometimes the sign are not so clear where do you have to go next but with a good orientation it’s okay.

Amazing!

It was a beautiful 8h walk. We just made it in time. We had about 3 stops, also went up to the eatwell lookout which was the highlight of the track. We only met people who went the other way. In our opinion walking from torea bay to punga cove is much better. We are just 2 girls with an average fitness level - so it is possible to make it in time - but don’t take too many breaks.

Torea Bay to Punga Cove

What an incredible walk! It was the perfect amount for a good day hike, and definitely tiring. Very steep at parts, but the views were breathtaking. I did the hike on my own, no one else had signed up for it. Just be prepared with plenty of food and water, and bring a map! No one told me where to go, so I just hopped off the boat and had to figure it out. I met some people along the way who had a map, and we had to guess where I was heading. Go towards the Bay of Many Coves, and then you’ll find Punga!
