Amazing full day trip

We absolutely loved this trip - it was a great deal and brilliant way to squeeze nearly a full day in the middle of the park in only 1 day by boating in and out. The details on the deal / website were a bit light when I booked so I was surprised to find it was more like a 9am - 4pm trip. Luckily we had extra time so it was fine. And well worth it. You board the boat in Kaiteriteri (either a launch or a small taxi depending on number of people - we had the small taxi which some didn't enjoy, and had no toilet), but it was a great calm day and the crew are just as professional and informative giving the same tour and commentary on the way. They will stop by a few sights on the way up to drop you at Medlands beach, 10mins walk to Bark Bay. You then walk the middle part of the track down to a pickup at Anchorage. There is plenty of spare time for stops on the way. You can arrange them to provide a lunch box for you or a pickup in Motueka, but I can't comment on these as we didn't use them. We'd definitely recommend this tour to get into the middle of the park if you only have a short time in the area.

Wilsons Swing Bridge Bush and Beach

We had a fantastic day. The walk is stunning, with some great beaches and swimming spots en route. Fantastic views and varied scenery. The wilsons crew on the boat were helpful, funny and informative. We are young and active (26yrs old) and we had a mid afternoon pick up enabling us to do the 13km walk (just over 3 hours of walking) with time to stop. We were on the high tide track. Highly Recommended.

Amazing Day Out

I am glad the trip was canceled on the Sunday because of bad weather. Monday the rain stopped and the sun came out. The views and walk was the best I have done. Really enjoyed my day. The boat was on time and sea was flat.

Thanks Paula, we appreciate you taking time to review and thanks for being so accommodating about change of date due to the front with strong winds coming through. It's rare we cancel our sailings as the park is so well sheltered and the region blessed with typically good weather year round. Nice pic of Torrent Bay. We look forward to seeing you again one day.

Great Day!

Great day being able to see a gorgeous bit of the coastal trail, will definitely try to come back in summer months to enjoy a couple swims along the way next time. We found the walk quite easy and had almost an hour of leftover time. It is a little daunting knowing you have to catch the ferry on the other side, but there is plenty of time for a couple of swims, a lunch break and a few detours to lookout points.

Thanks for the review Megan. Everyone walks at a different pace, but yes there is plenty of time for enjoying the walk, and if you do walk it fast Anchorage beach is gorgeous spot for a swim, relax, explore, or walk the Pitt Head Loop (1.5 hrs) or just to stunning Te Puketea Beach and back (20 mins each way). Let us know when you are coming back in the summer months.
