Wilsons Abel Tasman's trip 6

Amazing day Nice cruise, we can see all the good spots. We can see a lot of seals, very close to them, it's really nice. For the walk, the time for the walk is too long, they should drop off on the next beach because it's a short walk 1h45 no more.

Nice experience

The cruise stop at few points and allow us to see the view of Abel Tasman, and we have sufficient time for the track. Just the weather is a bit cold outside of cruise, have to wear more warm clothes. However, inside the cafe is warm and comfortable, light foods and drinks were provided at reasonable price.

Beautiful views

Was a long cruise dropping different groups all along the coast we got back to Tonga quarry at 12pm. Was a 90min walk through the high tide track, nice forest walk to bark bay then 10min to Nedlands beach for pick up at 3 back at base at 4.

Was great....but I wish I knew

So basically this is a water taxi. It isn't one smooth ride up the coast listening to the guide tell you about what you're seeing and then dropping you off for your walk. A ton of people are put on at the start and it's pretty crowded. Then the boat proceeds to work it's way north while making several stops which entail bottoming out on the beaches, dropping the walkway and letting people get off and on. It's very loud and not really the peaceful cruise I was anticipating. All in all it was fine, but if I were to do it again I would have preferred to find perhaps a smaller water taxi that took me directly to the site. The hike was great for the reasonably fit.
