Experience the thrill of River Rafting on the Waiau Gorge with Amuri Alpine Rafting!
Your adventure begins when you depart from the Amuri river base and head downstream on a scenic trip through the stunning Waiau Gorge.
Be in awe of the dazzling landscape that surrounds you as you float on this pristine river and keep an eye out for trout that may be feeding beneath you.
There will be the opportunity for a swim and to jump off rocks into the Waiau’s crystal clear waters or you can simply relax and take in the outstanding scenery as you float downstream.
Next up is an adrenalin-pumping ride through the Waiau’s Grade 2 rapids…full on fun for all the family!
The finale of the trip will be an exciting journey by jet boat back to the Amuri river base.

Fun!
My first time rafting was alot of fun. Accompanied by a young expert who was very informative and entertaining. The return jet boat ride was exciting with the pictures to prove it. My fears have been allayed and I am nearly ready for grade 3! Amuri are a good provider. Thank you.

Jet Boat
Please make sure to fix the road to reach Jet boat. Kids and elderly persons can easily get hurt with such a drastic way. You didnt even had a vehicle for transport for that way. Total disappointment . If I had seen this I wouldn't have booked it.

Nice way to see a beautiful river
The rafting was a really fun way to see a beautiful river - the rafting was grade 2 - so fairly calm which is great if you are a little nervous, or just want something more peaceful (just don't expect to fall out, or be full or adrenaline). It was really good as wetsuits and booties were provided, so all you need is yourself :) The jet boat ride was super fast and really exciting!!!
