Two-Hour Christchurch Bike Tour
Exploring Christchurch by bike with a local is the best way to see and experience an exciting city in the re-build phase!
Highlights include:
Riccarton Bush, Deans Cottage, Antigua Boatsheds, Mona Vale Estate, Hagley Park, Re:Start Container Shopping area, several Gapfiller sites, Cathedral Square, Transitional Cardboard Cathedral and New Regent Street.
During the tour there is plenty of time to take photos and ask your guide lots of questions. Tour numbers are kept to a maximum of eight people so your experience is very personalised.
The city is perfect for cycling, as it is very flat and has many purpose built cycle-ways. This makes the city bicycle tours suitable for all fitness levels.
Comfortable modern bikes are used. Standards Approved helmets and safety sashes are provided.
Tours depart from the Antigua Boat Sheds, 2 Cambridge Terrace. Bookings essential.
Price: $50 per person
Did the 10 am ride on a Sunday morning. A group of 7 guests had signed up--some wanted the original city ride and others wanted the rebuild ride. Our guide, Adrian, did a mixed ride that covered aspects of both tours. We were quite pleased and would highly recommend these bike tours.
Great experience, Nat is a great guide
Natalie was very informative and friendly. She ensured we travelled together and is very good at remembering names!

Fantastic
We thoroughly enjoyed the bike tour. Our guide was so lovely. She ensured that we were all OK and showed Christchurch in such a positive manner. She was professional and knowledgeable. We felt so guilty that she extended the tour by almost an hour and we took some of her time. I don't think that we would have enjoyed Christchurch so much if we had not then this tour. We went back and revisited some of the places on our own. Definitely worth the time and money. Thank you.
