Welcome to Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa.
Relaxing rock pools, soothing sulphur pools, cascading pools, and an array of water jets and bubbles - at a range of temperatures.
For the kids (and kids at heart!) we have four hydroslides, including New Zealand’s longest waterslide, Conical Thrill, activity pools and a lazy river.
We're excited to introduce the debut of Violet Vortex and Waiau Winder. These innovative slides have taken the place of our cherished older beige and green slides. Our latest slides feature cutting-edge LED lighting and projection technology, enhancing the thrill factor and crafting a unique adventure!
Entry price includes all outdoor pools and slides.
For those who wish for a taste of luxury - try the private pools, sauna, steam rooms, and the luxurious spa. It's all here in an atmosphere that cannot help but reset the balance in life…

Visited with whanau
The best day had by all. We came to Chch from Auckland for a wedding and decided to spend a day at Hamner Springs. Absolutely loved it. The kids had a great time as did the adults which included our 84yr old Dad in wheelchair. Wheelchair access was excellent. We cannot wait to come again nxt time we’re in Chch.

One of my favourite places
A must do if you’re in the area! Love the variety of pools and there’s a great amount for kids too. The hot pools and scenery will make you feel absolutely on holiday (even if you live in Canterbury!). The slides are so much fun for kids and adults and the lazy river is a dream. There’s a section too for little ones. The staff are always friendly and the facilities are lovely and clean. The cafe is great - love that you can go up in your togs without worrying about getting dressed and there’s also a grass area if you want to bring a picnic. Honestly, if I could I’d go so much more often. Absolutely love it!

Visitor from Nelson
I took 2 US family members to the pool one morning. We were all marvelously relaxed after this, enjoying a hot shower afterwards. A very special way to spend a morning.
