  • Dusky & Hector dolphins - view both the most acrobatic and one of the rarest species of dolphin on the planet
  • Albatross - get up close and personal to the largest wingspan in the world and a variety of other pelagic birds
  • NZ Fur Seals – observe these graceful swimmers in the water or expertly sunbathing on the rocks
  • Friendly and experienced crew who are looking forward to welcoming you aboard and showcasing our coastline

This two-hour scenic and nature cruise takes you out into Kaikoura’s beautiful blue backyard. Enjoy great photographic opportunities along the stunning scenic coastline and against the Kaikoura Seaward Range mountain backdrop.

Our friendly crew will share their wealth of knowledge about the environment and the wildlife you encounter, which may include dolphins, NZ fur seals, albatross and other pelagic birds.

Temporary note: Our operating base is currently closed for earthquake repairs and as a result we currently aren’t able to operate our Dolphin Swimming Tours (we are planning to recommence these by Spring 2020). Meanwhile, we wanted to be able to get back on the water and offer an alternative wildlife experience to visitors and this new and exciting tour combines the best watching experiences from both our Dolphin Encounter and Albatross Encounter tours for our guests!
