We went in with no expectations, and were superbly surprised. Pelennor fields are beautiful, although a bit plain on first sight. What really brought it to life was our wonderful tour guide - Dawn. She had super interesting anecdotes throughout the tour with lots of behind the scenes stories - a treat for any LOTR lover and a great way to spend a morning even for the fringe followers. The group was small and personal. We did the Hobbiton tour after this too but despite the glitzy set, it lacked the soul this tour had.
