No experience is necessary for the 2 hour rental - you'll be given a quick safety briefing and tutorial before you take off.

Take a paddle toward one of New Zealand's most mesmerising beaches - Cathedral Cove!
To have ample time time to get there at a comfortable pace you'll require a minimum of 4 hours of rental time, only available at the early morning slot. It is roughly 1.5 hour each way paddling to Cathedral Cove - kayak experience and good level of fitness is needed.
This way you have plenty of opportunity to explore, take breaks, and enjoy the serenity of the Coromandel.

very good value and service
Shanan was very friendly, we didnt check the email the night before (apprently you need to comfire if you're going with email!) and we were late for out session at 8am, but Shanan still guided us through with all his patience. all the equiments are well-maintained and Shanan showed up with extra water tight bags too! we booked a 4 hour session, kayaking to Catheral cove took us around 1h10mins, kayaking there was a little "scary" because you dont know how far you need to go, but we arrived before we burnt out. The catheral cove beach was very nice to chill on, the sand is ver fine so it was very easy to walk on. There is a walkway from the beach where you can have a high view, we stayed on the beach for around an hour and it was plenty of time already. Going back took us an hour, so the whole trip was not as tiring as I expected (and ofc the weather was very nice and the sea was calm, it helped too, always check the weather!) . Me and my partner didnt have exprience kayaking in the sea but it wasnt too bad, the view and the whole experience totally worth it!

Great time
Lovely time kayaking to cathedral cove. 4 hours was just the right time to walk, relax and snack. We were lucky it was a calm day. Though still a challenge to get the kayak back in the water. Need to be relatively strong to drag the kayak back to the leaving spot.

We had the best time kayaking to the famous Cathedral Cove! Shanan was super helpful in all the tips and tricks for landing on the beach :)

Belle balade sur la rivière
Agréable balade sur la rivière paisible. Nous n'avons été que très peu en mer à cause du vent et du courant de face qui rendaient difficile notre progression.
