Awesome Train Experience
I absolutely loved this trip and saw some amazing scenery. It was great being able to walk across a viaduct, and watch our train come over the viaduct to pick us up. Janet, who did the commentary, was outstanding and gave good history and fun facts as well. All the staff, including the girls on reception, were professional and welcoming. I felt proud as a Kiwi on this trip and hearing great feedback from the overseas tourists on the train. Thanks to everyone who made this experience so memorable!

Taieri Gorge Train ride
This train trip was a most enjoyable experience. The commentary during the trip was most informative. I would highly recommend this experience, especially if you have a love for great scenery and train travel.

Good experience
Our first time on a train in NZ; it’s a nice experience..good scenery, comfortable ride and the lady telling stories was very informative and speaks clearly.

A train journey to remember
Thoroughly enjoyed this train journey. The commentary/storytelling was excellent, the onboard café and food really good, and a great way to see parts of the countryside you couldn't easily access otherwise and to appreciate the conditions endured by the people that constructed the line.
