    awesome landscapes

During the trip you see fantastic landscapes: mountains, trees, small rivers. You can stay outside at the small viewing places (I guess if it is fully booked they can be crowded, but I had luck and always found a good place to stay) or open your windows and take the photos from the inside. The windows inside the train might even the better option, as you will not hear the commentary at the viewing places because of the noise from the train is so loud. All in all a really nice trip. I would always do it again.

    So amazing view

I really like taking a train so Taieri Gorge Railway was so amazing activity for me. You can feel nice breeze during train trip. I bought fish and chips before jumping on train and enjoyed lunch in the train. You can also get something to eat and drink in the train but you can use EFTPOS only one time. I recommend you to prepare any cash.

    Taieri Gorge Train

It was a beautifully sunny day to experience the train trip from Dunedin to Pukerangi and we were seated in one of the older carriages. There were fewer passengers than expected on the afternoon journey, but this was perfect for obtaining spectacular views from the decks at the rear of the carriage. The commentary was informative but the jokes were painfully lame. Highly recommended.
