Paula said... We did the 4 hour return trip on a sunny Saturday in late August. There were beautiful vistas throughout the journey. We were seated in one of the lovely old carriages which added to the experience. The viaducts, bridges & tunnels were amazing engineering features. The Dunedin railway station is a beautiful building. All the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. We would definitely recommend this train trip.
