Mark Foster said... Oamaru is a great little town: a rare treat to see so many interesting old buildings in one place. The town has really made the effort to celebrate its industrial past rather than ripping it down and replacing it with faceless, 'modern' architecture. The Steampunk museum is one out of the box. A very original concept and great for anyone who loves old collectables and artefacts of that nature. This town and the museum are now on my list as one of the must visit places in New Zealand.
