Explore the road to Milford Sound with up to 17 scenic stops along the way concluding with an amazing cruise with towering mountains and spectacular waterfalls.
Our "Extraordinaire" tour is the most comprehensive tour which includes magnificent views of the mountains beyond New Zealand's largest lake, three glacier carved valleys and photo stops in abundance.
Your day is highlighted with a cruise on Milford Sound on a small cruise boat tour. You will be up close to wildlife and have the chance to see dolphins, seals, albatrosses and the very rare Fiordland Crested Penguin (in season). Your cruise boat will also get you right up close to stunning cascading waterfalls.
Along with exceptional personal service, your local guides will share their experiences and knowledge along the way as we travel through awe inspiring scenery. Interaction with them is always invited, and questions along the way makes for an interesting and fun time.
Whilst we always plan our itinerary at the start of the day, we pride ourselves in the flexibility of changing the order of stops if inclement weather prevails.

Beautiful and well organized day trip
Great day trip to see Milford sound. Very well organized, large comfortable van and excellent bagged lunch. Highly recommend. Allen was our host and did a great job.

Excellent Trip
I have seen many amazing and beautiful places - Milford Sound and the drive to Milford sound was one of the best experiences on date. Gary was knowledgeable and informative and he made the long drive pleasurable. Good photo stops along the way. Small bus and boat made the trip special. It was great to just let someone else drive. Gary was excellent and we felt safe in his knowledgeable hands. Loved his commentary and stories. He was also kind and thoughtful. Highly recommend.

Loved it
Well worth the cost. The lunch was delicious, plenty of stops along the way and of course the views were stunning.

À la découverte de Fiordland
Alan our driver for the tour was very good. He had a lot of stories and facts to tell us about the area and Milford Sound. The organisation was impeccable, lots of stops to take pictures. Alan aways tried to stop where the others were not, it was much appreciated. The picknick was simple but very good and had everything tou needed. The sandwich was fresh from the morning and tasty. :) During the cruise we had again coffee tea and cookies available for the journey. The captain told us a lot of information about the Fiords it was very interesting. We also got lucky and saw some dolphins!!! I’m happy to say that I had a wonderful experience, thanks to all parties for the organisation and little attentions throughout the day.
