Keen for a bit of a thrill? Jump on board with Rotorua Rafting and take on the Kaituna River — home to the legendary 7-meter Tutea Falls, the world’s tallest commercially rafted waterfall. Yeah, you heard that right. This isn’t your average paddle; it’s an epic white-water ride packed with heart-racing rapids, stunning native bush, and all the good vibes you could ask for.

  • Your safety is our No.1 priority at Rotorua Rafting.If for any reason we feel safety is compromised we reserve the right to cancel any trip or person.

    Any river trip carries a degree of risk - participants must be aware that while safety is paramount, Rotorua Rafting cannot 100% guarantee your safety.

    Cancellations within 24 hours and no shows are non-refundable. A 20% cancellation fee applies to any bookings cancelled prior.

    White-water rafting on the Kaituna River is an adventure activity that involves inherent risks, including slips, trips, capsizing, and immersion in fast-moving water. Participants must be aware of and prepared for these risks, which include the possibility of physical injury or discomfort. While Rotorua Rafting has strict safety procedures and experienced guides to minimize risks, we cannot eliminate them entirely.

    By booking, you acknowledge that youre taking part in a high-adrenaline activity and agree to follow all guide instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. All participants will be provided with safety equipment and a full safety briefing before the trip. You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your participation.

    Important:This activity is regulated under New Zealands Adventure Activity Regulations, and Rotorua Rafting is a registered operator committed to the highest safety standards.

  • Need To Know: Please arrive 15 minutes before your departure time!

    On-water time: About an hour of paddling, splashing, and laughing.

    Age limit: 13+

    Fitness level: Moderate fitness is required; participants should be able to swim and must be under 130Kg
