The Christchurch Gondola whisks you to the top of the hills where stunning views await.
To the west, the Southern Alps seem close in the clear pure air and to the East, the ocean and the sky stretch as far as the eye can see. Experience the Time Tunnel, a dramatic reconstruction of the history of Banks Peninsula and Christchurch. See lifesize dioramas of the early voyagers, both Polynesian and European.
Revive your spirits with a snack at the new Red Rock Cafe, browse what is on offer in the shop or just relax and take in the magnificent 360° views.

The Christchurch Gondola
We loved the whole experince. The purchase of ticket was easy from the book me site. Affordable price. And the ride was breathtaking. Something to remember our whole life

Fantastic Experience
Even though the weather wasn’t fantastic we got to the top and it cleared up and we had beautiful views overlooking the city and also Lyttelton harbour. Highly recommend.

Fantastic views
Whoever chose this spot to build the gondola station should get an award. One of the best summit stations I’ve been to, with views of both Diamond Harbour and New Brighton.
