Sit back and relax as we cruise the length of the 16km Fiord, venturing past the iconic Mitre Peak to the mighty Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. Be sure to keep an eye out along the way for seals basking in the sun, pods of dolphins and even the rare Fiordland Crested Penguins that can be found seasonally within the region.
Our 2 hour cruises have strictly limited passenger numbers, ensuring you an intimate and authentic experience of one of the world’s most beautiful scenic destinations. Whether sitting inside our out on our viewing deck, you will have fantastic unobstructed photo opportunities as your knowledgeable and friendly skipper provides a fascinating commentary on the highlights along the course of the cruise.

Really good experience
Milford sounds is stunning, it's a experience that you never forget. The best thing of our experience was the Mitre peak cruises team, they were so lovely and really nice with everyone.

Great experience!!
The mitre peak cruises is the smaller boat than the other companies, however I’ve find out that it made me come closer to the fall and have and excellent experience. Five star recommended.

Sweet and personable
I took the trip advisor advice and took the small boat cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises and it paid off! It felt personable, fewer people for sure. Boat got real close to the cliffs and able to feel mist from the waterfall . Kahu ( the skipper) gets 10/10 for great commentary and for spotting the wildlife ( seals, penguins in and out of water) and a pod of dolphin’s - a memory for keepsakes! Leo the other crewmen was very engaging and provided great facts despite initially translating for a French couple! Leo offered and took many photos for all customers!! Thanks Kahu and Leo for making it a magical trip for us!!

Milford Sound Cruise
My husband and I were amazed by the scenery on this cruise. The boat was small and not overcrowded which enhanced our experience. The staff were friendly and the process easy. We booked a cruise for later in the day, 4ish, which I really recommend - we took most of the day to drive up and stopped often to look at places of interest and to eat a picnic lunch. The drive home was also a pleasure with very little traffic.
