Experience Foveaux Strait onboard our express catamarans where the scenic journey between Bluff and Stewart Island takes one hour.
Comprehensive commentaries provide information on the interesting landmarks commonly seen, including Dog Island Lighthouse, Ruapuke Island, the Titi Islands and Mt Anglem - Stewart Island’s highest point.
Personal baggage is carried free on the ferries - max. 2 bags per person (1 stowed and 1 small carry-on). Additional baggage is by prior arrangement

The weather played a significant role in our ferry crossing. It was calm! The captain was informative and the crew professional. Both ways!!

Ferry crossing!!
It was a nice crossing. All the staff were excellent and very helpful with any questions you had. The only problem is there was no hot water! We couldn’t have a cup of tea which was complimentary 😂😂 Very good

Return trip to Stewart Island
Ferries departed on time. Check in process fast and easy. Boarding times also perfect. Ferry was comfortable. And we were lucky with a nice navigation. And Stewart Island welcomed us with a beautiful rainbow. Everything great.
