The International Antarctic Centre transports a slice of this astounding continent to Christchurch, with a range of immersive experiences that allow everyday visitors to see, touch, feel and fall in love with Antarctica.

Pleasant Moment
It’s amazing to have such Antarctic knowledge before I leave NZ as a tourist. I loved the Hagglund Field ride but I think it’s too short to experience. The 4D Extreme is also very good experience that I was indeed at Antarctic. The blue penguins are so cute and lovely that we can closely see them and photo them that specific in your country. I indeed admire your smartness in running this Centre for tourist to have an eye open when they leave, good job!!!

A blast!
Had an amazing time learning about what goes into an Antarctic expedition. The hagglund ride was so much fun, and we learnt so much about what's required of an Antarctic vehicle. The storm generator was our favourite, there's nothing like it.

Excellent experience
Amazing experience as soon as you walk in the door . Excellent staff service all through the centre , knowledgeable and very helpful . The penguins are so adorable , loved the talk on them thank you 🙏. The 4d experience was absolutely fantastic definitely a laugh and so wonderful. The huskys just lovely and you get to pat them . the Edmund Hilary exhibits and information were brilliant. The hagglund ride hold on tight I could not stop laughing , thank you Andrew .
