Great experience on the half day tour. Super convenient pick up and drop off in Queenstown and lots of great winery options to choose from.
Particularly enjoyed the informative tour with Pete on 1 October. He was punctual and very helpful.
Hi Marilyn, Thank you for your 5 star review! We are very pleased to hear that you had a great day out with our team :) Warm regards, The HOHO Team
We booked on the 12.10pm form Queenstown and the bus didn't arrive until 12.35pm. The driver was in no mood to communicate and gave just 1 word answers to everything. In the end he asked where we wanted to go as he was going to miss out a load of stops because of the roadworks. He then drove as fast as he could along dangerous roads over the speed limit at one point overtaking a car on a bend. When we got to our first stop we asked when he would be back and he said I'm just the driver, look at the timetable and drove off. He arrived back at our destination 10 minutes early, we had to gulp down our tasting to make the bus but another lady made him wait which made him even more angry! On our final stop he turned up on time and announced to the whole bus, I did it, I'm on time! We only made 3 of our 4 stops we wanted to make and we will today take a taxi to the last one at our expense. On the plus side, the venues at Gibbston, The Church and Ma Rosa are lovely, but in future I would probably pick a better way to get there!
Hello John, thank you for your feedback, we have GPS on our buses and at no point did the bus exceed the speed limit which we take extremely seriously. At no point did the driver arrival early. The problem was, as you were aware lots of road words which is beyond our control. The driver did his best on the day and has said at no point did he drive over the speed limit. We also had a client hold up the bus 15 minutes asking questions at a stop and the driver can not get into long conversations at the door as this also runs buses late. Thanks HOHO
Shocking had 3 drivers 1 was great 2nd did not speak the 3rd was confused who was on the trip each time we got on. One couple was dropped off at a tasting but was shut so they had to wait for next pick up! Not any cheaper than the main wine tours with better guides.
Hello Kevin Whitley, Thank you for your review. 1st Price you paid $89.00 for 2 $44.50 each, can you please let us know where you can go on a wine tour for this price. 2nd Not one place was closed on the 29th Dec so I am unsure of where you got this information from. 3/ There were 3 drivers and if they havent meet you at pickup you are new to them. We believe this review is because you booked a cheap ticket and tried to go on the bus on the 29th and you were booked for the 30th you had to pay an extra $50 as we dont allow this. All the discounted tickets were gone on the date you tryed to travel, you knew this as your friends brought that ticket. Thanks JJ

Fantastic afternoon
We really enjoyed our half day hop on/hop off tour. We spent most of the afternoon at Mt Rosa, this is a fantastic winery with great service and great food. It’s great not having to worry about driving and just hopping back on the bus when it arrives.
