Allow approximately 5 hours drive time from Queenstown or 3 hours from Te Anau.

Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

Mesmerising!

My family and I had the privilege of cruising the Milford Sounds with your company. The welcome from the ship crew was wonderful, friendly and patient. I normally think onboard commentary is a bit naff but the information, stories and history the Captain shared was fascinating. The complementary tea and coffee is a wonderful touch. The ONLY negative I had was the welcome from the reception lady when we checked in - just super cold. Like the Sounds cold water. Not even a hint of joy. But moving on, the crew and the experience will be something I will remember forever.

Accepting credit cards only

We went yesterday on the cruise and was really disappointed with the payment for food by accepting only credit cards only and what about others having debit cards (EFTPOS). I had to starve because as I am pregnant and was not accepting the card!! It is not fair for people with genuine needs!
