Allow approximately 5 hours drive time from Queenstown or 3 hours from Te Anau.

Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

Honestly, such a good experience. The boat was really comfortable, super clean, and it never felt crowded, which made everything way more enjoyable. There were drinks and food on board, so you could just relax and take it all in. The guides were great too, easy to listen to and actually interesting. Overall, everything just felt smooth and well-organized. Really loved it.

Beautiful cruise

We had a lovely cruise on the fjord. We were not a lot of people on the boat (probably because of the time of the day and the time of the year) so we could have great views from everywhere. A lovely member of the crew even took pictures of us which we enjoyed!
