Bus was comfortable, trip was beautiful, driver was funny, interactive and knowledgeable. It is a long 12 hour day, but something you will always remember. Highly recommend.
Big day! Such a great bucket list item to tick off, the coach was great, the journey getting there was just as good as Milford sound. The driver was such a cool guy. The stops on the way where great.
We enjoy our anniversary tour at milford. The view is stunning, its our 2nd time to book in bookme we love it
Everything was perfectly organized from the word go. We had a truly remarkable and wonderful Coach Driver cum guide Mr. Pumbaa, who really added value to the trip. He was very concerned about the passengers safety as well as truly informative. He spoke for nearly the entire trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound, explaining the history of each place as we drove along. The trip onboard the vessel M.V. Pride of Milford Sound was also very pleasant. The buffet lunch served onboard the vessel was also really good. Thank you Southern Discoveries and especially Mr. Pumbaa for making our trip a memorable one. 👏

Great trip despite weather
This was a big day, starting off at 7.20am on a very cold Queenstown morning. Our driver Craig was a start though, he was funny, gave us lots of interesting info on the way, handled a whole coach full of tourists with good humour and we felt safe with his driving. The stops on the way to Milford were not too numerous but we did get a good view throughout the drive as we were placed at the front. The weather is always a gamble and this time we weren’t as lucky, but a big bonus of bad weather was snow-covered mountains and innumerable waterfalls. This trip is intense in that you’re on the coach for a total of about 7 hours going to and from Milford Sound from Queenstown so it’s quite tiring but as a first time experience it’s definitely worth it. The cruise around the Sound was great, although we were served lunch just as the boat got going so we were all busy eating and not seeing the sights. But I suppose everything as to be done on a schedule.
