Great experience
If you are thinking about this do it as our guide, Legend, was excellent. Saw at least 10 kiwis and managed to get a lot closer than expected. Combine this with checking out the stars afterwards and definitely worth doing.

Magical adventure!
My friends and I enjoyed such an incredible nighttime. experience with our guide Legend. The stars shone above us as we quietly explored the bush tracks with red torches in hand, keeping quiet, and we got to see so many wild kiwi, it was amazing..! And the telescope and binoculars for exploring the universe at the end of the tour was also amazing! In case anyone else is going, the meeting point is just outside the toilets, inside rhe Tāwharanui regional park, so come on through the gates and keep going to the main carpark. Once you find your guide, you are all good!

One in a lifetime
Loved the tour, the kiwis are super cute. Loved the ending with the stars. Legend was soooo good, he k ew a lot, great passion and people skills. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement is cleaer insteuctions on meeting point. Everything else was superb

A Wonderful Evening
So excited to finally see kiwis in the wild - 8 in fact! Too cloudy for the stargazing but that didn't matter as we had more time to look for kiwis. And so close to Auckland!
