11/10 experience. Utterly surreal views.
Very well organized tour! The boat was a great size, we were able to get very close to the falls but plenty of room to sit outside or inside.
We chose Mitre Peak because they use smaller boats and we wanted a more intimate experience. It was the right choice for that reason and so many others.. The smaller boat had plenty of room to sit and move around, plus the crew were able to talk with everyone and share neat info and stories. I don't know if you'd get that on one of the big cattle boats. We selected the last cruise of the day and had the Sound to ourselves which was magical. But it was the crew that it all work. Super friendly people who made you feel welcome. It was almost like going for a cruise with old friends. I would book with Mitre Peak again in a second.
Mitre Peak Cruises have two smaller boats (next to all the big ones in Milford Sound) and handle the tour great. You get to see a lot, feel the Tasman Sea and get options to view on the front (be aware of splashing water), the upper deck and in the rear. Perfect for an amazing visit in Milford Sound without being to crowded.

Great cruise
This cruise was a great experience. The boat was slightly smaller than some of the others in Milford sound but this made the experience better in my opinion and more personal in terms of getting the views and pictures. The captain of the boat shared some good commentary of the area and nature too. Highly recommended
