Join us to raft the iconic Shotover river for a whitewater rapid adventure like no other, as we expertly guide you through grade 3-5 rapids!
Get ready for a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure on the iconic Shotover river as we navigate the rapids that carve their way down the valley.
Your adventure begins with a 40-minute journey along the historic Skippers Road, one of the Top 10 most dangerous roads in NZ. We’ll get your adrenalin pumping even before you hit the water, as you travel down the dirt road cut during the 1860’s gold rush.
The upper section of the Shotover River gives you and your paddling team time to practice your paddle techniques and be briefed for the exhilarating rapids ahead. Our knowledgeable rafting guides who are expertly trained, and possess a keen sense of adventure will then navigate your raft through the grade 3- 5 rapids, aptly named aftershock, squeeze, toilet and Oh Sh*t.
Your journey comes to an end through the darkness of the 170m long Oxenbridge Tunnel before finally taking on the Cascade rapid. Don’t worry, hot showers are available on your return!

Amazing
Such a beautiful river with thrilling rapids. Also loved the part where we could get out of the boat and float along with the raft.
