Take a spectacular journey into Piopiotahi Milford Sound by luxury coach before exploring the ‘eighth wonder of the world’ by cruise.
Prepare to soak up the beauty and grandeur of what has been called the "eighth wonder of the world" with RealNZ.
Departing from either Queenstown on-board a luxury coach, sit back, relax and take in the stunning location on one of the most scenic drives in New Zealand along Milford Road, while enjoying on-board commentary and various photo stops along the way.
Upon reaching Milford, you'll take a relaxing cruise on board the spacious vessel which boasts fantastic outdoor decks and indoor lounges specifically designed to optimise your viewing experience.
To ensure you experience the very best of Milford Sound on the day, your knowledgeable skipper has planned each trip based on the weather and recent wildlife sightings. As we cruise the full length of the Fiord you'll witness the majestic beauty of Milford first hand while we cruise right up close to grand waterfalls and sheer rock faces, and discover local wildlife such as dolphins, seals and, in season, the rare Fiordland crested penguins.
Enjoy the relaxing scenic journey back on the coach to your accommodation.
Snacks and drinks are available to purchase during your cruise or you are welcome to bring a picnic along to enjoy.

We were reccommended to do this activity by family while we were in Queenstown. This was one of the highlights and most memorable parts of our trip - what a fantastic way to experience Queenstown! Absolutely breathtaking views and photos, from both the coach and the cruise. We were very lucky to have snow on the coach trip, which was just magical. If you are booking a trip to Queenstown, you literally must do this as part of your stay. Just bear in mind that you need to account for 1 full day to do this activity, as you will be out from 7am - 7pm. Plenty of stops along the way and places to purchase food and drinks etc, but reccommmend packing some snacks (or Ferg Bakery pastries if you are like us, and can't get enough of it!). Pack very warm jackets, water, sunglasses and grippy shoes. Our coach driver Brian was honestly a big part of why we enjoyed the trip so much. Brian was very knowledgable, friendly, kind and a fantastic driver. He even offered to take pictures for us and other passengers. He made frequent stops for those of us who constantly needed to strech our legs and relieve ourselves, and we had a bunch of laughs along the way - kudos to Brian - you are awesome and thank you for your concentration on the long drive!
Great experience Competent guide
Early morning start from ZQN on the bus to Milford. The bus will stop in Te Anau for a quick toilet / rest break and make little stops along the way to get some great photo ops. Commentary from the driver as we drive along too which was great to learn about the area / landmarks. Milford was breathtaking, absolutely stunning scenery and landscapes. The boat cruise was highly enjoyable too, staff on board were friendly. Took snacks with us which I highly reccomended doing. We went on a really beautiful day but would love to come back again when it’s raining. Highly recommend this trip!!
We really enjoyed fhis trip. Driver name is Gorden who was great. We felt very safe while he was driving Thanks
