Get up close and personal with a mix of exotic and native wildlife such as Tuatara and Kea, and learn all about their unique lives. The kids will love hanging with the monkeys and getting hands on with a range of interesting domestic animals.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn about the ecosystems in the Nelson-Tasman region and the conservation efforts being made by local people and groups.
With an emphasis on conservation and preserving endangered species, you'll take part in supporting the vision of this community based charitable trust with each visit - providing a one of a kind experience for all!

Must Do!!!
Beautiful place with lot's of interesting animals and insects great place for young and old. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Totally recommended 👌

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Arrived late in Nelson due to traffic, so entered the next day. They ignored the customer's situation with unkind manners and we paid extra at normal price . Plus a local poor zoo with nothing more to see than when we visited years ago. Never planning to go again.

Great attraction.
Great little zoo for all ages. It also has feeding times and playgrounds to keep those little ones busy! The animals are super friendly and love to be looked at. I recommend it highly
