Well worth a visit to see the living conditions of the early settlers to the area. The volunteers are very knowlegable
This was a wonderful tour of an authentic historical New Zealand village. Great variety of different style living styles. Great variety of activities going on with many volunteers in clothing to suitable to the era. Would highly recommend for a great day out and prices are very reasonable. Terrific cafe with plenty of variety in the menu.
My kids loved every bit of this village! It was interesting to see how people used to live and what their houses looked like on the inside. It was a great learning experience and the vibes were awesome. The cafe there has beautiful coffee and food also, which is a bonus. Thanks!
I thought this would be an average day out, mostly for visiting grandparents who like history ... but we all LOVED it and the kids really got into the old toys and interesting stories of the olden days. Highly recommended!!

Novel and fun
You can see it's a labour of love by everyone who is involved in this village. I would want to do a couple of more live days to explore everything there is to this little gem of a place.
