Itinerary

  • Meet your experienced driver and start your day trip with a convenient pickup in Auckland CBD.
  • Travel south through the lovely Waikato countryside and soak in the incredible scenery for the next two hours and immerse in scenic views on your drive to the Coromandel Peninsula.
  • Listening to the great commentary will enhance your journey to the Coromandel. You'll pass through native forests and along coastlines before your first stop at Cathedral Cove
  • Experience Cathedral Cove, the stunning rock formation featured in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian!
  • Enjoy ample time at Cathedral Cove to swim, explore, relax on the beach, and capture the perfect photo beneath its sweeping arch!
  • Your guide will stop for a kiwi style picnic lunch at beach café at your own expense.
  • After lunch, visit the world-famous Hot Water Beach, the only beach where natural hot springs bubble up through the sand. Dig your very own spa pool in the sand and relax on the beach, taking in the beautiful views of the coastline.
  • Once you've had a decent soak, head back to Auckland, topping off a day trip to be remembered forever!

    Fitness Level: Good and moderate fitness level required and must have the ability to walk for at least 1 hour.

    Not suitable for travellers with any kind of mobility issues. You must be able to climb and descend stairs and walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.

    Weather Condition: Please note that access to Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove is subject to tide conditions. If a safe visit isn't possible due to the tides, we are unable to provide a refund.
