The Nature Cruise brings premium viewing of wildlife including seals, dolphins and penguins.

Allow approximately 5 hours drive time from Queenstown or 3 hours from Te Anau.

Notes

Car parking in Milford Sound is $10 per hour, if parking in the main car park, please allow 10-12 minutes to walk to the terminal. There is free parking in Deepwater Basin, please allow 25-30 minutes to walk to the terminal. If you choose to self-drive, we recommend arriving into Milford Sound at least one hour prior to your scheduled cruise departure to allow sufficient time to find a car park and make your way to the Milford Sound Cruise Terminal. For further information about car parking please visit milfordsountourism.nz/parking

Breathtaking

Im so proud i come from this country. The Milford Sounds are just beautiful. Words, even photos don't give it justice. The trip to the Milford sound was like something out of a movie. I saw Kea, which I'm so happy about. The cruise boat was very nice. Clean and tidy. Loved that we could stand on the top to take in the beauty. Highly recommend.

Best experience ever

We had an unforgettable cruise with Southern Discoveries through the breathtaking Milford Sound. Lucky to have perfect weather, we were treated to stunning views of towering peaks, lush cliffs, and incredible waterfalls. The scenery was truly out of this world—one of the most beautiful places on earth. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and getting up close to the waterfalls was a definite highlight. Highly recommend this magical experience!

The cruise was good but the root it followed was totally in middle of the ocean. Because of that we couldn’t witness any waterfalls close by.
