Excellent Tour
Excellent tour with a young Māori Chief. He gave an insight into the history and culture of the people that live in the village. Tour includes lookouts for the geysers and the chance to sample some delicious corn cooked is their cooking hot pool.

Wonderful experience and tour guide
What an amazing place. Thank you to the Whakarewarewa village for sharing their special place with us. Our guide Wiamara was brilliant. So much knowledge. Very informative and funny. Ngā mihi nui.

Very interesting
Very interesting site and history, would absolutely recommend visiting the place just our guide (unfortunately don't remember her name) was lacking a little enthusiasm, she sounded a bit bored, hardly any emotion and as she was wearing sunglasses throughout the entire time even for the greeting it was a bit difficult to follow. Though in saying that I would still definitely recommend visiting 100% just hope you get a different guide👍

Fascinating, authentic tour
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour which provided w glimpse into the village and tribe’s way of life, honoring and living with the fragility of their existence on the land that keeps shifting. The guide’s stories about her childhood in the village were particularly lovely. At the end we got to see the geisers which was a nice surprise. Highly recommended tour.

A walk to remember
We were a group of parents and children of various ages and had an excellent experience. Our guide was outstanding—he led us through the village with great knowledge and patiently answered all of our questions with warmth and humor. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking meaningful insight into Māori culture and the traditional use of the natural hot pools.
