Wonderful experience, smaller group. More personal.
Pi was a wonderful guide with a great deal of information not just on the glowworms but generally her family who has had custodianship of this site for over 50 years.
We arrived at the same time as a large bus tour. Kawiti Caves arranged to have a smaller group who had booked on line go ahead of the large tour which was great. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable and the cave and glow worms were amazing to see. A great simple tour !!!
Very lovely guide, she told us important and interesting story about the ( her) ancient families, the cave and the excising and life of the worms.

Glowing from ear to ear
Te was a great guide, had an entertaining way of sharing his knowledge. Was very patient with the kids and made each one of them feel involved. Beautiful views inside, lot's of glow worms to see and a very scenic walk afterwards with giant rocks you don't often see in standard NZ nature walks
