kth2025 said... Brook Sanctuary is beautiful. The paths either side of the stream are in a very good condition. There is lots of info. I saw lots of tuis and quite a few bellbirds and wood pigeons. I also saw a male tomtit, which was lovely. I went on the public bus from the centre of town. It went straight up there and then it was a nice 5-10 minute walk through the holiday park, which had a lot of swallows nesting. (The bus is very cheap and quite frequent.) I highly recommend a visit to Brook Sanctuary booked through Bookme or direct through the sanctuary website.
