This tour is a must ….. really stunning
Wow wow wow. We had a perfect day out! My 85 year old Mum and I drove to Sandspit from Albany on toll road and it was easy. Checked in and mentioned to office lady that it was Mums first trip there since her honeymoon in 1958. Next minute the Skipper finds us and we have a good chat. With our permission as we got near the Mansion House he gave a speech over radio about Mums nostalgic trip, to her delight! We stayed on board til after the mail run was complete as it is so stunning! Landed around lunchtime & went to café a bit later. Got an excellent scone with cuppa for Mum & wonderful salad for me, great value! Kawau Island is incredible, can definitely see why Grey bought it! Weather was perfect, sea was beautiful for swimming. Mansion House well-worth the $10 entry. Mum was able to sit outside her honeymoon suite and reminisce while gazing out from the balcony. Peacocks running around are adorable too. Everyone was super-friendly and so nice to see people enjoying this for everyone now it is run by DOC, not just a wealthy few! $64 for the trip is a true bargain on Bookme. I can't recommend this enough and will probably go once a year from now on!
Relaxing boat ride but not too much to see or do once on the island. The cafe food was limited but good. Peacocks were beautiful and friendly.

Three seasons in one day
My wife and I took two visitors from Redding, U.K. to Kawau Island for a tour. The reception we got on the phone was smooth and very courteous; booking was a breeze. We all enjoyed the trip and the knowledge shared by the captain. The weather turned fine and the lunch was delicious. We will be booking another trip soon
